Yes, immediately: If a family member just has a positive PPD then besides treating latent infection, looking for a source & contact investigation will be necessary. However, if they have active TB disease, then everyone they have been in contact with should get a PPD to determine if they got exposed to the TB bug or not. If PPD is positive then further testing (chest xray etc.) is needed. Talk to your doctor.
