Not recommended: Most contact lens solutions contain harsh chemicals to kill germs. These are not good for your eyes. Instead use contact lens rewetting drops which are available over the counter.

No: Not recommended. Particularly if it's a red top, hydrogen peroxide disinfecting solution -- never use that which can cause corneal burns.

Meh: Not the greatest idea because of the preservatives that are in it. Best using drops designed for the purpose for which you will use them.

Peroxide-based: Peroxide-based cleaners, such as clear care, are the best for this.
For artificial tears, get the ones that state they are for use with contact lenses.

Can I use contact solution as eye drops if i don't have any?

Not advisable: The contact lens solutions vary in component ingredients. Often used are the multipurpose solutions that clean, disinfect, and are used for rinsing & storing. Although not harmful to use in the eye, they do not contain good lubricating quality ingredients.. It's best to use contact lens friendly lubricating eye drops for routine usage in dry eye related conditions.

No: You can wear Glasses for a day and get proper Contact solution. The eye drop could be for various reasons and most commonly for Infection which has different purpose and PH and chemicals. As a rule you should remember to use proper medicine for proper condition. Just like Salt and Sugar are used appropriate places even if they appear similar at first glance!
