How could someone get pregnant while on birth control?

Low chance: If a woman is taking birth control pills every day, same time each day the chance of her getting pregnant is low, about 1/100 per year. There are several situations that can cause the bcp to fail, such as taking antibiotics or some other medications. However the commonest reason women get pregnant on birth control pills is missing pills and not using a back up method.
