Most likely!: The Depo-Provera shot effectively suppresses ovulation and thickens the cervical mucous, providing excellent birth control. But there is no method of birth control that is 100%. We have all taken care of women that have gotten pregnant on the Depo-Provera shot - it does happen, though it is very uncomon. Also the Depo-Provera shot will not protect from std's.
