Safe in pregnancy: In a typical low risk pregnancy, it is safe to have intercourse. It is never wrong to run this by your OB provider to make sure that this generalization holds true in any one particular case, though. With intercourse and orgasm, there is contraction of the uterus, whether you are pregnant or not. This might be more noticeable during pregnancy and is not typically associated with any problems.
