Yes: In general eating disorders are considered to be a psychiatric condition and a multidisciplinary approach with nutritional rehabilitation, medical monitoring, and psychological treatment. Medications can be used but are not alway necessary.

Sorry, no.: Eating disorders do have a range, but please never lose sight that the more serious, kill and fortunes are less potent than earliest active med. Move--karen carpenter. The kindest immediate intervention is also mandatory. An evaluation by a psychiatrist who has excellent experience and has excellent team and has excellent facilities at the ready (my repetitive phrase helps, i hope).
