Bump: Eczema usually does not cause bumps on the eyelid. The most common new bumps are styes or chalazia. These may resolve with hot compresses and topical antibiotics. Other possible causes include papilloma and basal cell carcinoma. If the bump persists more than a few days, call your local eye doctor for an appointment.

Chalazion: This still may be a different type of stopped up oil gland. Try warm soaks 2-3 times of day--if no change, see your ophthalmologist.
