Chronic sinusitis: Try a saline nasal spray first, then i highly recommend seeing an allergist, as they can see if your sinus problem is from allergies and once these are under control, you will breathe better, the treatment can be medications or allergy shots or both, depending on what you are allergic to and how your respond to medications.

Breathing with sinus: Hello. Patients with sinus disease often have nasal congestion. This could be allergy linked and an antihistamine may be helpful. OTC nasal. Spray like Nasacort (triamcinolone) is also a good choice. This medicine will decrease inflammation that may help to improve breathing and resolve sinusitis. Use the spray every nite before sleep. See your ENT for confirmation.

May not be related: Sinusitis is an inflammation of the sinuses(air spaces in the face) Difficulty breathing is due to nasal obstruction and may or not be related to your sinus problem. However, the two problems are usually related. For immediate relief of the nasal congestion, I would recommend an OTC nasal spray such as afrin but ONLY for 3 days. An oral decongestant for about a week may also help. See an ENT.
