Some thoughts: I would first look at medical issues like migraines, recent history of concussion or head injury, misuse or withdrawals from caffeine and/or other intoxicants, and possibly get a ct scan. If all these and other medical issues are negative, then begin looking at stress, depression, anxiety and get to a therapist to evaluate. Several techniques are available to manage headache pain and its causes.
