Depends on type1or2: In type 1diabete if you are a man with diabetes, risk to your child is 1in17, if you are a woman than it is 1in 25.If both parents have it the risk is 1in4to1in10 there is exception in patients with type2 polyglandular autoimmune syndrome in this risk is 1in2 type2 diabetes runs in families.Risk is 1in7 if you were diagnosed before age50, and 1in13 if diagnosed after age 50. If both parents risk 1in2.
