A member asked:

What do you do to keep your eczema under control? also, what do you do if you play sports and suffer eczema?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Eczema: Over-the-counter products, such as Hydrocortisone 1% cream, or prescription creams and ointments containing corticosteroids, are often prescribed to lessen inflammation. In addition, if the affected area becomes infected, your doctor may prescribe antibiotics to kill the infection-causing bacteria. Moisturizers like cerave, aveeno, (oatmeal) cetaphil, and eucern are also helpful.
