Antibiotics: Antibiotics are for infections. You assume you have an infection, but you don't really know. Even if you did, the antibiotics only take care of the symptom(s), they don't fix the problem. Make an appointment with a local dentist to be treated rather than self medicating... You'll be better off in the long run.

Why?: Do you have some left-over antibiotic around the house from a previous infection? Antibiotics will not "fix" infected tooth, only slow down the progress of the infection. The infected tooth material has to be physically removed (filling, root canal rx, etc. Please call your dentist for an appointment before the toothache becomes a screaming emergency.
