Unfortunately: Decrease in sexual desire or ability are not uncommon with ssri antidepressants like citalopram. They may ease up over time. Speak with your prescriber to determine if you need to change to a different antidepressant with less risk of sexual side effects such as bupropion (wellbutrin) and mirtazapine (remeron).
