Yes: There are 5 sides to a tooth. The occlusal surface is the surface you bite on. The mesial surface which is the side closest to the midline. The distal surface which is away from the midline. The buccal surface which is closest to the cheek and the lingual surface which is closest to the tongue. You could have 5 cavities on a tooth. Sometimes the surfaces combine for example mesial/lingual.
