The beelly button: Is what is called the umbilicus . Developmentally it is the link between the fetal and maternal circulation . After birth the link will be cut with scissor and ligated . The opening will close in most cases . In some cases , the opening did not close permanently . From time to time it present with wetting , bleeding and at times pus coming from it . The pus indicate that there is infection.
