Odd: A mid-twenties male who complains of back pain in bed & relief after morning defecation presents an odd set of symptoms. This symptom pattern suggests, to me at least, pelvic sacroiliac joint (sij) injury from participation in extreme sports with fall(s) & buttock impact. Sij disorder pain is worse lying down. I have seen ibs in young extreme sport enthusiasts; accompanied by sij disorder.
