Ultrasound: In the us, the only recommended ultrasound during pregnancy is at 18 weeks of gestation.

6-7 weeks: Around 7 weeks would be ideal because this should show the fetal pole and a heartbeat. If you go in too early you may have to come back at that time anyway to document a heartbeat.
