You will feel ill: Motion sickness occurs when your equilibrium system is overwhelmed. If you are traveling by plane, sit over the wings, if traveling by car or bus, sit in the front and look ahead and as far at the horizon as possible. Symptoms, which include nausea, vomiting, dizziness and headache, will subside once you are out of a moving vehicle.

Nausea / vomiting: Motion sickness occurs when your "inner ear" gets out of balance causing symptoms of nausea and sometimes even vomiting. Avoiding reading, playing on your iphone, or other near work while in motion (car, boat, plane) can help as can keeping your eyes on the horizon or out the front window. Medicines are available as a preventive (dramamine, transderm scop (scopolamine) patch) or treatment (zofran, for nausea).
