My boyfriend little sister was born with her hand stiff. she can't move her right hand at all. what caused this? can it be treated?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Inability to use a hand from birth could mean she has an issue with how the hand including the muscles, bones and nerves because of positioning or other environmental factors in utero. It could be from a larger neurological problem like cerebral palsy or dystonia. Physical therapy and bracing may help.
