Reassuring: While a negative quad screen in reassuring, it does absolutely rule out the possibility of chromosomal abnormalities, including down's syndrome. The only way to do that at this point is through chromosomal analysis from an amniocentesis. If you have specific fears about down's. Talk this over with your OB to determine what your specific risk is.
