Lupus: Elevated ANA can indicate an autoimmune process, with lupus being the most suspect. Other conditions like rheumatoid arthritis can also elevate the ana. You can have an expanded antibody blood panel to further define whether there are additional antibodies associated with lupus, and also see your physician to evaluate for physical signs of lupus.
