Normal: I typically tell patients that they might bleed post partum for up to 6 weeks. Sometimes the bleeding stops and then it starts up again, crazy, huh? It's normal to have bright red blood, medium red, dark red and clots. Rather than plan b, how about a regular birth control for you now since you have such a young baby? You're past the 4 week mark so can get an estrogen/progesterone pill.
