Nose cautery: After nasal cautery, you really want to let the nose heal. Try to avoid blowing your nose for 2-3 days, longer if more bleeding stirs up after cautery. Keep the nose moist with saline, too. This facilitates the healing if the lining of the nose after treatment. You can also prevent drying of the nose by putting a little vaseline just inside the openings if the nose.
