A member asked:

Step mom decided to stop chemo treatments forr breast cancer. what to expect?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends...: On how advanced her cancer is and what she's been thru thus far. For example, if she has only involvement in bones and she's taking an antiestrogen pill, she could be with you for quite a while. If she's been thru mult chemo regimens and cancer is in her lungs, liver, brain and bone, time would be quite short. If it's the latter, i would strongly advise enrollment with a good hospice program...
