Are there things in my control that make frostbite more likely?

Proper clothing: Avoid extreme temperatures. But if you must be outside wear proper layered clothing and have extra socks available if clothing beamed wet. Emergency supplies and evacuation plan in advance of trip.

Proper clothing: If you're going to be in cold conditions you must protect yourself against getting too cold. Getting wet increases your chance of getting frostbite as does having exposed skin in wind and low temperatures.
