Depends on cause: You really ought to talk to your doctors about why the potassium may be low. Clinically, it's most often related to medications, especially common diuretics, with potassium supplements being prescribed as well. Some medical conditions can be associated with low potassium. Citrus fruits (juice), e.g., bananas, oranges, are high in potassium. Some meds may help. Talk to your doctor.

Find cause: Ordinarily your kidney and colon regulate your potassium level remarkably well. If you're found to have low serum potassium, the cause needs to be found; we need to rule out early cushing's, a villous adenoma (reaganoma), conn's syndrome, early liver failure, medications, and (most folks don't know this) too much licorice.
