Borderline PD: If you are diagnosed with borderline pd, find a good therapist to work with in long term insight-oriented psychotherapy. This will be your main base of treatment. You may also need additional skills training for dealing with intense emotions -- dialectic behavioral therapy is set up to do exactly this. You will likely also need a psychiatrist to help with medications from time to time.

DBT: Dbt, or dialetic behavioral therapy, formulated and developed by marsha linehan, pH.D. Is currently though of as being very effective. Borderline personality disorder or treatment is more a management issue than an issue that is curable.
