A member asked:

I have noticed muscle twitching after taking zoloft (sertraline) 200mg at night in my arms and legs i usualy go 2 sleep straight away but not yesterday is this ok?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

My opinion: No: Zoloft (sertraline) can cause a creepy crawly feeling or twitching in the arms and/or legs. This is thought to be due to spillover into dopaminergic neurons especially at the higher doses. It can be calmed down with klonopin, but you need to review the pro's and con's of having abnormal muscle movements with your treating physician.
