Can happen: There are some studies that linnk lasting depression with the use of propecia (finasteride). The only way to know if you would experience that side effect or not is to take it and see how you react. At the end of day there are risks and benefits to every medication. Discuss this and other concerns with your prescribing physician as its certainly a possibility although not always likely.

Propecia (finasteride): If you did take Finasteride (propecia) you would have to be very closely for change in depressive symptoms. Don't see any psyche medications listed under your profile. Propecia (finasteride) has been associated with depression. This would not be without risk. What does your physician say?
