ADD/ ADHD: Yes; attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity is a common problem. 10% school kids has this, 65% continue in adulthood. Short attention span, impulsivity, hyperactivity, forgotfulness, confusion, leads to poor school performance. The kid gets into trouble with peers, teachers, which leads to anger, fights, behavior problems. Many adults seek medical help due to this problem.

Add : Confusion is absolutely associated with attention defect disorder. No attention will cause confusion. Medicate focus and confusion should improve. Finding the correct medication without side effects is the challenging part however! hope this helps.

Yes: Kids/adults with ADD are often so distracted they can't hear a complete sentence spoken or remember a thought long enough to express it. Add on daydreaming or "spacing out" and confusion follows. Confusion can result from many things, so that alone is not enough to diagnose ADD. Medical and stress-related issues can also cause mental confusion. But yes... confusion is common with ADD.
