Elevate: I'd be surprised if a clot developed this quickly. Check the calf for swelling and tenderness to compression. Elevate it and use warm moist compresses. If soreness worsens, see a doctor.

Calf pain: Blunt trauma to the calf area can cause a contusion or a small hematoma due to some internal bleeding from breakage of small blood vessels. With a history of pe, please consult your internal medicine or vascular physician as soon as possible.
