Yes: Even in the first trimester of pregnancy, one can begin to feel a swelling, almost painful sensation in the vagina. It's good that it seems that you don't have signs of itching (typically yeast) or burning with urination (typically uti), or watery discharge with foul odor (typically bacterial). This type of tenderness can come and go in pregnancy. Sounds normal but if you're worried, check w/ md.
