Maybe (not) . . .: If you engage in unprotected sex, it's always a good idea to check for pregnancy as well as sexually transmitted diseases. Your family doc or planned parenthood can do both. If you don't want to get pregnant, both can offer you various birth control options. However, you're less likely to be pregnant if your period came on time w/o any change. But unless you want to get pregnant, use contraception.
