A member asked:

What are the causes of a blind eye to turn white?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Corneal edema: There are a couple of possibilities, but most likely you are seeing a swollen cornea which is no longer clear and therefore obscuring the view through it to the colored part of the eye (iris). This makes it look white. Other possible reasons are a mature (white) cataract or calcium covering the surface of the eye.
