Likely hormones off: Very heavy bleeding after period finished is most likely a hormonal problem which is often treated with medications. A polyp or fibroid or infection is much less likely. Very heavy bleeding can cause women to feel weak and lightheaded. Drink plenty of fluids, consider taking iron tablets and see your doctor today especially if the bleeding is still heavy.
