A couple more weeks: Athlete's foot is a fungal infection. In addition to using over the counter treatments like creams and sprays, you want to make sure you create an environment that fungus will not want to come back to. This includes keeping your feet dry and disinfecting your shoes. Also, keep in mind, fungus is everywhere. Any disruption in the skin can attract the fungus - avoid too dry skin too.

See a podiatrist: Otc anti-fungals are fungistatic not fungicidal. And, how do you know its a fungus and not bacterial? To kill fungus you need to do more than use an otc. Keep feet dry, wash well daily, clean fungus from shoes and socks since it lives there. Even rx antifungals take about 21 days of treatment to cure fungus. Where you put your feet can perpetuate the problem. Podiatrists are the experts -- see one.
