A member asked:

Would a ssri make the autonomic system more efficient and responsive?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

POTS syndrome: Short answer, yes. Long answer, serotonin is the hormone thought to be responsible for the autonomic nervous system hence heart rate and even blood pressure. Ssri's increase nerve communication and stimulate the standing vasoconstriction reflex and what this does it improves your vessels reactions to standing or sitting.
