A member asked:

I wanted to know when you go to the doctors for a bladder infection what do they do?

Dr. George Klauber answered

Specializes in Pediatric Urology

When UTI suspected: Urinalysis will be performed, medical history will be performed & you will be examined. Pelvic exam will not be necessary. Urine specimen should be cultured to determine bacterial type & sensitivity to antibiotics if urine test positive. Similarly dr will prescribe an antibiotic for a few days which will cure your bladder infection.
