Not much other than.: ...Taking the antibiotics prescribed to the last pill. Avoid taking any left over antibiotic pill with an intention to prevent recurrence of same infection, e.g., self administration of Amoxicillin for sore throat.

Not the right ?: It's important to know that in general, people don't get resistant to antibiotics, bacteria do. The things dr. Park mentioned are to help prevent causing resistance, not getting resistance. So just because an antibiotic doesn't work for you once doesn't mean it never will again.
