A member asked:

What symptoms usually go along with chronic granulomatous disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Severe infections: This disease affects the immune system so that they are unable to fight off common germs and get very sick from infections that would be mild in healthy people. These severe infections can include skin or bone infections and abscesses in internal organs (lungs, liver, brain). Children with this disease are healthy at birth but usually develop severe infections in infancy or early childhood.
