Common...: This is a common benign finding on prostatic biopsies. It is common as men advance in age. It is a proliferation of stromal and glandular cells in the prostate due to hormone imbalance causing an enlarged prostate. It can cause symptoms like frequent urination. Prostatis is caused by chronic inflammation usually the cause is not found, but rarely can be bacterial infection.
