Some need surgery: In most cases, eye floaters don't require treatment. Learning to cope with your floaters may take time. In rare cases, your eye floaters may impair your vision and need treatment. Laser treatment and floater surgical removal.

Floaters Change: Floaters are acutely very visible and bothersome, but over time, they tend to move, dissipate or the brain tunes them out. A minority of patients have floaters that persist and that affect visual function. In these select individuals, the floaters can be surgically removed.

Floaters float!: Floaters are tiny clumps of gel or cells floating inside the vitreous, casting shadows on the retina. They are more visible when you look at the sky or a bright, evenly lit surface, and may look like little dots, circles, lines, clouds or cobwebs. You have always had some floaters since birth, even if you were not aware of them. New floaters come from tiny bits of retinal tissue.
