Is it true that after a lateral release you're not suppose to bend your knee past 90 degrees or it could rupture?

If the operating : Surgeonhas said that then id respect it.The purpose of limiting bending to a point may be two fold 1. Don't harm the surgery 2. Don't harm the tissues by overdoing it.
