A member asked:

Are there home remedies for anaphylaxis?

8 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

9-1-1: The only home remedy for an anaphylactic reaction is to immediately call 9-1-1. If an epi-pen is available, give it and then call 9-1-1. Under no circumstances is there any other "home" remedy.

Yes: If you have Epinephrine at home..... In all seriousness, it depends on the trigger. Avoidance is the mainstay for food or drug induced anaphylaxis. Bee sting induced anaphylaxis can be prevented by desensitizations. Regular medications, h1 and h2 antihistamines, can help prevent reactions due to unclear causes.
