A member asked:

What should i do to make a rash stop itching?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Itching: The most useful otc treatment contain Hydrocortisone 1% which can prevent inflammation that causes itch. Pramoxine 1% is a common otc medication in products such as sarna and gold bond anti-itch and is effective. Other treatments containing menthol, camphor or calamine can provide temporary relief. For severe itch, see a dermatologist for a stronger steroid cream or anti-itch pills.
