A member asked:

What is the best way to remove a contact lens that u lost in your eye?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Patience: The most common thing is for the lens to fold over itself, and get stuck in the upper, outer recess. Try with your thumb to lift up the outer upper lid while you look down and in - and hold this for 15 seconds. If you have tried hard in general to remove it, and fail, it might be already out and your feeling of the lens is due to eye irritation. Have a friend look in strong light at that point.
