Depends!: Some sexually transmitted diseases/infections are asymptomatic (without symptoms) until it's too late eg chlamydia leading to infertility. Or easily overlooked eg sores leading to tertiary infection. Or HIV leading to aids, hepatitis c leading to liver cancer or hpv leading to cervical cancer. Others produce symptoms like pain or discharge eg gonorrhea. If you engage in unprotected sex, get tested.
