Surgery: If you have significant vaginal relaxation (usually as a result of childbirth) you would likely need reconstructive surgery to restore your vagina to a more normal caliber and state. Learn to do kegels by contracting the pelvic muscles to slow or stop the flow of urine when you are emptying your bladder. Once you have learned which muscles to contract you can do them anytime and anywhere.

Surgery or exercise: Vaginal tone or tightness depends on pelvic floor muscle tone (pfm) & connective tissue (ct) only exercise can improve the pfm & only surgery can correct ct. To exercise: imagine you are in a crowded room & really need to pass gas. Hold it in for count of 10. Relax for 10 & repeat. Problem:1/2 women can't squeeze pfm & don't exercise effectively. Physical therapy can help.

Plastic surgeon: A plastic surgeon can help restore most body parts to a more 'youthful' condition. Kegal exercises can help. They are done by tighening the same muscles used to stop a urine stream. Contract these muscles for several seconds 10-15x and repeat several times per day. This will increase vaginal tone.

Surgery: If you have vaginal relaxtion due to vaginal deliveries, you will likely require surgery to restore the vagina to a normal caliber and state. Kegels are intended to strengthen and tone the pelvic floor - they cannot shrink the vagina or change the prolapse from the trauma of childbirth.
