A member asked:

What methodology is used in drug court urinalisis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

UDS: An initial enzyme immunoassay (eia) test screens for the presence of opiates, benzodiazepines, and illicits. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (gc/ms) is used to create a fingerprint-like match for each detected prescription medication or illicit. Liquid chromatography – tandem mass spectrometry (lc/ms/ms) is used when optimal specificity and sensitivity are required.
