Humidity: Declining humidity can reduce mite growth in the carpets, that is why relative humidity should be maintain at 50% or little below. Tips: by regularly opening the window in dry climate or air-conditioning in humid climate. If nose becomes dry-use nasal saline drops.

The happy zone: I try to target 35-45% humidity for anyone in general, and this is important for those with asthma or inhalant allergies. Dust mites, a common allergen, will thrive in humidity above 50% while mold and mildew form above 70%. When you go down around 10-20% the dry air can irritate your airways and cause sore throats and nose bleeds.
